    In an earlier Archive I claimed that the language spoken at Cahokia, that medieval Mississippian city in southern Illinois circa 1000 AD, was Dhegiha Sioux. And if that wasn’t outrageous enough, now I’m going to make the case that Ohio Hopewell was also a Siouan-language group.
