“Lula has removed at least 80 military officials from their jobs in his administration in the last five days,” according to the Brazilian newspaper O Globo. This effort was highlighted last week when the new Brazilian president sacked the head of the Brazilian army, General Julio Cesar de Arruda who had been in the role for less than one month.
